After exhaustive research we can now bring you a selection of “Slip on” and “Bonded on” tyres in High tech, modern polymers which meet or exceed the grip levels of the model car tyres of the 70’s, while giving enhanced tire life, durability and tear resistance.

All Custom Tyre Factory tires are injection moulded in Alloy / nylon and PTFE composite, telescopic moulds to ensure the best dimensional tolerances.

Slip On Range

The range of slip on tyres will increase with customer demand. These tyres are ideal for upgrade original replacements, competitive racing and show cars. Available in 2 hardness ranges;-
Regular -Typical Shore A hardness of these tyres is between 25 - 27.
All tyres are made to fit accurately and tight on the hub and do not require bonding for normal use, just rolling to “bed in”.
Soft - Typical Shore A hardness of these tyres is between 17 - 18 (some sizes may require bonding to hub for “fast race” applications.)

For 1/24th Cox Cars

Available in two hub diameters - Standard Hub for Formula One & most Sports Cars.
Big Hub for Chaparral styles.

3 Tire diameters, Low Profile (not suitable for sidewinder with large dia. Gears), Standard, Large.
These tyres are also suitable for use on other make hubs of similar dimensions.

Standard hub -
(0.535” dia x 0.415 wide)
#TF01 - low profile - 0.995” dia.
#TF02 - std. proflie - 1.140” dia.
#TF03 - Big profile - 1.200” dia

The same great rubber, individually made and chemically bonded onto you own hubs.
We can mould on to any of the following types of hub, providing they a “through bored holes” and not “blind finished” ;-   3/32 plain axle, 1/8 plain axle, 1/8 threaded axle, Cox type taper axle.

Two different compounds are available;-
Regular - Typical Shore A hardness of 25 - 27
Soft - Typical Shore A hardness of 17-18

Our Moulds are telescopic so it is possible to accommodate most widths required. All pairs are made from the same mould to ensure “pair dimensionality”.

Hubs are centred in the mould to ensure correct and true running.

For 1/32nd Cox Cars

#TF07  Suits all Cox 1/32 scale hubs
Sized 0.460” diameter x 0.328” wide.

This tyres is slightly smaller overall diameter than the original when mounted on the rim @0.875” diameter and a width of 0.386.

TF-08 Designed to fit precisely on the Cartrix rim with a finished dimension of 0.840” dia. X 0.28 wide.  £4.65 per pair.

21.75mm (0.855”),   21.90mm (0.860”),   26.88mm (1.06”)

2) Sidewall style profile tyres are available in the following finished outside diameters; - 20.21mm (0.795”),   21.25mm (0.837”),   25.10mm (0.998”), 28.10mm (1.10”0,   28.50mm (1.122”),  30.35mm (1.195”) .
