AB MAGNA-BRAID
Ideal for braiding MDF & wood “Scalex” type tracks where racers want to run magnets. Magna-Braid is a copper coated steel braid giving approx 65% of the magnetic attractance of a conventional “Scalex” type steel rail.
Magna-Braid comes pre-coated on the reverse side to assist in bonding the braid to the track surface.
Rated at 30 amps the need for power shunts is obviated on most tracks.
Magna-Braid measure 0.060” thick x 0.210” wide and should be set in a recess 0.250” wide. For best performance Magna-Braid height should ideally be flush or + or – 0.005”.
Magna-braid should be bonded to the track surface with a Contact type adhesive, follow manufacturers instructions. Always apply glue to a sealed surface. Magnabraid is simple to lay and holds curvature well during the curing process.
