TSRF INTRODUCTION PAGE
AB Slotsport is delighted to announce  the TSRF concept.
Designed and Engineered by Philippe de Lespinay, well known for his Electric Model Racing Car designs and his long term experience in the field.
The cars in both 1/32nd & 1/24th scale represent a major step forward in Ready-to-Race, quality engineering and fair racing for all.  The result of a 2 year development project, these cars are strong, simple to assemble and maintain and great to race with a choice of exact scale vacuum formed or injected plastic bodies.
The 1/32 chassis will easily mount under most Scalextric, Fly or GB Track car bodies to provide a reliable car with superb handling,  with or without the optional traction magnet. A selection of tyres are available including rubber, sponge and Silicon to suit all tracks and forms of racing.
A truly great opportunity for plastic and wood track racers of all abilities to find a Long-Term, common class of really competitive racing!
Photo left;- This picture illustrates the patented design. The car on top shows the shortest possible adjustment, while the bottom view shows one step from the longest possible wheelbase (as fitted on the Scalextric Taurus body). When the steel pan is moved to its #3 position, the guide flag spacer is not used. Note that the entire car is assembled through the use of only ONE screw...we are very far from the TWENTY SIX bolts and nuts of a Plafit or MoMo chassis! All components (contact wires, motor, steel pan) snap into position and are locked by the single screw. "Vive la Simplicity!"
The FLY Porsche GT1 body easily fits the TSRF32 chassis and can be mounted with 4 pins as shown, or with the optional plastic mounts and 2 flat head screws. Note the traction magnet, mounted in the more forward of its 3 possible settings. The magnet is only held by its contact to the motor, and can easily be removed and reset to another position to finely tune the handling of the car. It can also be left alone and act as a weight on a non-magnetic wood track.
This picture shows the various possible configurations, from the shortest wheelbase to the longest attainable. The Audi R8 was made from a TrueScale Lexan unit, while the Porsche GT1-98 is a modified FLY body. Both were installed using the automatic body mounting tool and 4 pins.
The shortest and almost the longest wheelbase configurations can be seen on these two cars: the Scalextric Ford Taurus and the GB-Track Porsche 917PA. Almost a full inch difference...and little difference in handling. The car appears to be very forgiving and the nose firmly planted in the slot. Over-steering tendencies without the use of a traction magnet are simply cured by smooth and precise driving and a choice of available foam, silicone or natural rubber tires.
Similar great racers  may be achieved in 1/24th scale utilising Monogram and Revell type injection moulded kits  or exact scale vacuum formed bodies.
