And suitable for any slot car from scalex to OG12 in standard form and up Eurosport with the additional Attenuator (Available soon as a plug on option).
The Orbit 2 is a DIODE controller. Totally different from transistor controllers, diode controllers have been around a long time, but now, with the advent of modern components and high speed super efficient fan cooling the diode controller has come of age! Providing you with a controller which is super smooth from the first segment through to full power.
Diode controllers control voltage, not load, so the controller will exhibit a linear response irrespective of motor size or type - so NO CHIPS! And also because the response is linear and also adjustable, no reason for CHOKES either!

The copyright diode array, combined with ultra compact, high speed, double fan cooling, housed in a stainless steel shroud ensures rugged, cool, smooth and reliable linear control with the benefits of easy to adjust sensitivity control and 6 position adjustable diode braking + on board Full Power blast relay. And there’s more!
The wiper board is precision cut, solid brass (not flimsy, printed circuit board), for super smooth action and long life.

Due to the diode configuration, the ORBIT gives you braking and improved control on the downstroke of the controller before you even get to the brake contact!
Diode braking also has a “roll on effect” that is to say, with adjustable diode brakes, the diodes block emf voltage, therefore, the more diodes you add to the circuit (with the adjustable brake switch), not only will the braking effect reduce but as the car slows and the blocking emf voltage set on the adjustable brake is reached, the car will “roll on” through the corner, making driving smoother.
IT’S A WHOLE NEW BALLGAME!
As Diodes naturally smooth the voltage to the motor into flat DC you will notice motor brushes lasting longer, with smoother performance. Your controller will set up the same irrespective of the quality of different power supplies on different tracks (unlike many PWM assisted and transistor controllers which are sensitive to AC ripple).
The Attenuator (a plug in module) just enables even more control over the low end of the controller. This module will be available soon.
